Coaching
Coaching for MidCentury Wellness & Stress Recovery
For Women Ready to Feel Better in Their Body, Mind, and Life
My approach: emotional health and stress recovery through coaching
After decades as a therapist, I followed my passion for mind–body healing and became a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach. Coaching lets me blend clinical expertise in emotional health with evidence-based lifestyle strategies to support both physical and mental well-being.
This work is personal. In midlife I noticed stress was taking a real physical toll — fatigue, fog, and a sense of disconnect from my body. That led me to study how lifestyle, inflammation, hormones, and the nervous system interact to affect our capacity to thrive, not just survive.
Who this is for
Women in midlife who feel exhausted, stuck, or disconnected from their bodies
People who want practical, sustainable changes to reduce stress and build resilience
Those who are ready to focus on daily habits, nervous system regulation, and lifestyle factors that influence emotional and physical wellness
What coaching offers
Practical tools to regulate the nervous system and reduce chronic stress
Lifestyle strategies to address inflammation, sleep, energy, and hormonal shifts
Emotional health support that focuses on present-day functioning and sustainable routines
A collaborative plan tailored to your life, priorities, and values
If you’re tired of feeling exhausted, stuck, or disconnected from your body, coaching may be the missing link — the tidy, everyday changes that restore well-being while honoring the deeper healing work you’ve already done.

Coaching VS Therapy
Coaching vs. Therapy: a house metaphor for emotional health and stress recovery
Coaching is looking at your everyday living space and tidying it up. It’s focused on the rooms you use most—the kitchen where you prepare each day, the living room where you meet others, the bedroom where you rest. With wellness coaching centered on emotional health and stress recovery, we notice clutter that gets in the way of functioning: routines that drain energy, habits that increase stress, priorities that are out of alignment. Coaching helps you create practical systems for daily life: clearer schedules, calming practices, healthier boundaries, and small environmental or behavioral shifts that make your everyday living space easier to inhabit. The work is forward-looking, action-oriented, and rooted in present-day goals and capacities.
Therapy is looking at your everyday space to help build strategies and improve daily functioning, but we then clean out the basement and attic. Therapy goes deeper into the parts of your house you rarely visit: the basement where long-buried experiences, early attachment patterns, or unresolved trauma live; the attic where old beliefs, stories, and painful memories are stored. Therapy helps you safely access, process, and integrate what’s been stored there so those things no longer sabotage daily life. That process often involves exploring history, emotions, relational patterns, and unconscious material—work that can change how you experience the present and your capacity for intimacy, regulation, and meaning.
How this distinction matters for you
Scope: Coaching focuses on current functioning and forward movement. Therapy addresses underlying causes and deeper emotional wounds.
Methods: Coaching uses goal-setting, accountability, skills training, and habit change. Therapy uses clinical assessment, trauma-informed approaches, diagnosis when relevant, and techniques for processing painful material.
Timing and intensity: Coaching often produces quicker shifts in daily routines and stress levels. Therapy may require longer-term engagement to resolve deep-seated issues.
When to choose which: If you’re mainly seeking clearer habits, better stress management, renewed motivation, and practical strategies to feel better day-to-day, coaching is appropriate. If you suspect past experiences, persistent mood or anxiety symptoms, unresolved trauma, or relational patterns are limiting you, therapy or a combination of therapy and coaching is likely more effective.
Working together Coaching and therapy can complement each other. Therapy can help clear the basement and attic so coaching work in the living spaces is more effective and sustainable. Conversely, coaching can translate therapeutic insights into concrete daily practices and accountability. When appropriate, professionals collaborate or you may use both services sequentially.
If you want to focus on emotional health and stress recovery without diving into deep historical processing, wellness coaching offers targeted, practical support to tidy and optimize your everyday living space. If you need help processing what’s stored in the basement and attic, consider therapy—or a combined approach that honors both cleanup and upkeep.
Please Note:
Coaching is self-pay (no insurance accepted)
No diagnosis, assessment, or treatment plans
Focus is on present and future goals — not the clinical past
